About the UAE Charity Challenge

In 2008, four ordinary guys with a passion for riding and looking for new challenges decided to take on one of the toughest off-road rally races in the world, the UAE Desert Challenge.

The Challenge is 6 days of riding over 2200kms in a vast desert called “The Empty Quarter”. The terrain is some of the most inhospitable and challenging this planet has to offer. It is the ultimate endurance test of man and machineand attracts legendary names such as Luc Alphand, Stephane Peterhansel, Cyril Depres and Marc Coma.

But rather than just make this a personal challenge, we decided to use the opportunity to raise money for charity and help some people who were less privileged than us.

After an incredibly successful inaugural 2008 debut that saw all the team members complete the 2008 UAE Desert Challenge and more importantly saw the UAE Charity Challenge team raise almost 330,000 AED / 90,000 USD for charity - the UAE Charity Challenge team is back!

For 2010 the UAE CC team is looking to repeat our fundraising efforts and at the same time take on the newly created Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge.
